I am Bryce Frazier, I have interest in taking technology places where many can't fathom it's existence. by that specifically I'm talking about the vast landscapes in the wild were few would even dare to go, and yet I want to put in a wifi hotspot by the campfire. To in order get a taste of it I am currently attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks, a place that has me walk though the -40F cold (also -40 in C) to get to the classroom where I study C++, only to walk though the woods to my Calc class.
Currently my main computer is a Thinkpad P50 running Debian 11. It has an Intel i7-6700HG cpu that has a clock rate of 2.6Ghz and 8 cores. The laptop does have a dedicated GPU, an Nvidia Quadro M1000M. In addition I also have 40GB of ram on this system which seems to be more than enough so far. It's pretty great for a portable system however since I don't have a desktop system yet, I like to set it down and plug it into my 4K 31.5" 'gaming' monitor. I use a vintage IBM scroll-point mouse, which uses a pointer stick style control (like the kind you can find on laptops sometimes between the 'G', 'H', and 'B' particularly on Thinkpads) for scrolling it even can do horizontal scrolling without the need to press the shift key, though it's highly sensitive. Then I type on a Unicomp keyboard, it's based off of the old style IBM buckling spring keyboards.
